Murray City Fire Department - JDRF Fundraiser

With the help of our friend Alisa at JDRF,  our other friend JJ and a few of the other Murray City Fire Department guys will be walking in the Juvenile Diabetes walk on August 20th. They are going to do the whole 5k in full turn out gear with masks and oxygen if they raise $500 (which is pretty amazing)!

To help raise the money, they are selling shirts that they have made up for the occasion! The shirts are $10 with the full profits going to JDRF. If you would like to buy a shirt in support of Juvenile Diabetes, please email me at chadewell@gmail.com, and let me know how many and what size. We would really love your support and would love to see you on August 20th wearing your shirt!

Millcreek Community Farmers Market

washedUp soaps has been accepted into the Millcreek Community Farmers Market!
Believe me folks, this is where you are going to want to be Thursday nights through September.

Opening night is this Thursday July 7, at 4:00 pm.  Don't eat at home, ride your bikes and come enjoy dinner at the market with organic food from The Torta Truck and delicious food from The Curryer Cart. And Big Mirror will delight market patrons with americana, rock and blues.

The market has something for everyone, offering produce, herbs, honey, artisan bread, fresh caught salmon, salsa, preserves, pesto, organic chocolate, gourmet popcorn and granola....yum! Every week enjoy organic gardening workshops provided by our neighbors, Holladay Community Gardens, and children's gardening education with expert local gardner, Wendy Phelps. They've got art in booths, in the studios, and even in a vintage airstream with The Creative Capsule, offering kid's arts and crafts each week (free for opening night), pottery demos, glass bead making demos in Urbanscrap Glass Studio, you can even make your own glass pendant. Invite your friends and neighbors, and help us spread the word!
