Pure Natural Lotion

People LOVE our lotion!  It's a creamy smooth lotion made from natural sources, plant and tree derived oils, skin friendly botanical extracts, and organic Shea and Aloe.

Shea Butter; Shea better is a Superfood for your skin!  What makes Shea butter so great in skin care is its richness and natural benefactors.  Shea is great for helping to repair fine lines, wrinkles and scars.  It is also a natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, is deeply moisturizing, skin strengthening, provides skin protection from UV rays.  Shea also promotes skin regeneration, collagen production (makes the skin stronger, more supple and younger), and even helps with minor cuts and burns healing!

Coconut Oil; Coconut oil acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin, including dry skin. Coconut oil is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which normally happens with with age. Coconut oil also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other skin infections. It can also help in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases due to its antioxidant properties.

Sunflower Seed Oil; Sunflower seed oil naturally helps your skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated and flexible.

Pumpkin Seed Oil; Pumpkin seed oil has a hell of a lot to offer skin. It has a high content of zinc, potassium, magnesium, omega 9, 6 and 3, and is packed with vitamins such as A, beta-carotene, B2, B3, as well as a high content of essential fatty acids.   It is recommended for healing damaged skin and gently reviving dry and mature skin. It's one of those 'wow' ingredients that we were so excited to add to our skin care line!

Avocado Oil;  Avocado Oil is high in sterolins, which are believed to reduce age spots, help heal sun damage, and scars.  It is the Sterolins (also called plant steroids) in the oil that helps to soften the skin, and imparts a awesome moisturizing effect.  It is an extremely good moisturizing and nourishing compound, assisting in the regeneration and rejuvenation of skin.  Avocado oil greatly increases the amount of collagen in the skin – which is normally under attack as we grow older.  Avocado oil is easily absorbed into deep tissue, and with is wonderfully emollient properties, makes it ideal for mature skin.

These oils can improve skin's texture and rejuvenate your skin, working in conjunction with botanicals. Comfrey has skin reconditioning qualities and elder extract can calm skin conditions. Cucumber and mallow extract assist in reducing skin irritation, and organic aloe helps skin's flexibility and hydration.

All Natural Lip Balm

Oil slick for chapped lips? No, thank you..

Lip balm has been around for over 100 years. But it took a wrong turn rightat the beginning. The inventor of lip balm, Dr. C. D. Fleet, started anunfortunate trend by using petroleum jelly in his Chap Stick lip balm, and it'sonly become clear in recent years just how ineffective petroleum jelly is as alip balm. At best, since petroleum jelly isn't absorbed by the skin, itprovides only a short-term fix for dry, chapped lips. And since it keeps theskin from breathing, it can -- if used frequently -- actually make your lips morechapped. Many conventional lip balms that contain petrolatum-based ingredientslike mineral oil that appear slick and emollient, but because the skin can'tabsorb them, they don't actually condition or heal chapped lips. In fact, theyjust lie on the surface, creating an impermeable barrier that can actually clogthe skin and lead to breakouts and bacterial infections.

Instead, look for natural moisturizers like shea butter, beeswax, sweetalmond oil, jojoba oil, or hempseed oil, all of which actually penetrate theskin.  Shea butter's effect on the skin is different from that ofpetroleum jelly. Instead of lying inert on the surface of the lips, it isabsorbed by the skin cells. If you're prone to breakouts or bumps on the lips, look for lip balms with antibacterial essential oils like rosemary andmint.  Because it improves the moisture retention capacity of your lips, your lips become dry and chapped much less frequently. The delicate tissue onthe lips, easily chapped and prone to bacterial infection, is vulnerable in anyweather. Wind and winter chill sap moisture from the lips, but so does exposureto the sun, surf, and chlorinated swimming pools.

Why Our Lip Balm Works

In early adulthood, all of our skin cells -- including those in our lips --begin to become more porous and less elastic. If shea butter -- a substancethat both moisturizes the skin and restores the skin cells' elasticity -- isapplied to the lips, then not only are the cells hydrated, but they graduallyregain their natural elasticity so that they are better able to keep moisturefrom escaping. Because unrefined shea butter contains both a high moisturizingfraction and an extraordinarily high healing fraction, it is a wonderful agentfor revitalizing our skin cells so that they get back their moisture retentioncapacity.

Why Petroleum-based Lip Balm Doesn't Work

Petroleum-based lip balm doesn't pretend to fix the problem that causes drychapped lips. Instead, it basically acts as a band-aid -- slightly moisturizingthe surface of the lips and trapping the moisture there, thus temporarily makingthe lips less dry. But to keep your lips moist using petroleum-based lip balm, you need to frequently reapply the lip balm. Well you might as well just lickyour lips all the time -- that has the same temporary effect, it's a lotcheaper, and it doesn't run the risk that bacteria will be trapped between thegreasy lip balm and the skin, causing further irritation and even infection.

Natural Body Butter

We're had more and more people checking out our products, and visiting our blog then ever before!  So, we wanted to re-introduce you to our products, and explain whey we love them, and why we think you will too!

Natural Body Butter:

Our body butter is a lot different than most body butters you find on the market.  Mostly because ours is all natural, and contains less than 1/2 of the ingredients of store bought versions out there!  This thick, long lasting body butter is made with naturally moisturizing oils, and is capable of moisturizing your driest skin.

This of this more like a skin healing ointment than a typical cream, let me explain...

This body butter is so great because of its base oils, and ingredients:

Sunflower Seed Oil; Sunflower seed oil naturally helps your skin retain moisture, keeping it hydrated and flexible.

Soybean Oil;  Soybean oil has an anti-inflammatory property, and contains a component called genistein which has anti-aging properties. Other components present in soy stimulate collagen production in your skin, which in turn increases the elasticity of your skin.

Jojoba Oil; Jojoba oil is most similar to human sebum, which is the oil that our skin produces naturally.  It heals, soothes and moisturizes the skin leaving, it soft and smooth.

Aloe Vera; Aloe helps the pores of the skin to open and receive the moisture and nutrients, and has a lofty source of Anti-Oxidants which fight against these radicals, rejuvenating the Skin.  Aloe also has vast range of Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids & Enzymes. Aloe is weirdly a close match to our Skin’s pH balance. Therefore, it is able to moisturize and heal Skin fast.  Aloe Vera also enhances the activity of Fibroblasts, which are special cells found in the Skin that create Fiber such as Collagen & Elastin. These Fibers give Skin it's structure and make it look fleshy and supple. The more we have it the more YOUTHFUL we look!

Camomile Extract; Chamomile is a soothing tonic for sensitive and irritated skin.  It helps in reducing various skin disorders like acne and scars.

Though everyone knows and loves this for their for feet, elbow, knees and heels, it can also be useful as stretch mark cream, baby diaper ointment, gardeners hand cream, or alternately; a heavy duty restorative type cream.

All Natural Sugar Scrub

Guaranteed, once you try it, you’ll be hooked.

Our hand and body sugar scrub is made with all vegetable and organic components.  Typically, scrubs act simply as a mild exfoliator when rubbed on the skin; but ours is much more than that!  it includes emulsifiers, oils and fatty acids, essentially making it a scrub WITH moisturizing qualities.

Why Sugar??

We could have used salt; but it tends to create a small pool of oil on the product.  We found sugar actually absorbs more of the oils,  and when the scrub mixed with water, you will notice your skin soft and conditioned when rinsed, without the greasy after-feel of most salt scrubs, which leaves you just wanting to wash your hands again.  Salt also dries the skin much more than sugar.   I mean, it makes sense, right?

It works the same, and maybe even better in our opinion. But decide for yourself!

Ingredients include:

Beeswax; Beeswax locks in moisture, fosters cells and protects skin from damaging environmental factors.  Beeswax effectively softens your skin and creates a long-lasting protective coating against the elements. It also is a naturally nourishing moisturizer as well as being anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-allergenic and a germicidal antioxidant.

Shea Butter; Shea better is a Superfood for your skin!  What makes Shea butter so great in skin care is its richness in elements, which include unsaturated fats with a large proportion of "unsaponifiables" components, essential fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin E and D, provitamin A and allantoin.   Shea is great for helping to repair fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.  It is also an antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory.  It is deeply moisturizing, skin strengthening, skin protecting, UV protecting, skin regenerating, collagen producing (makes the skin stronger, more supple, and younger), and even helps with minor cuts and burns healing!

Coconut Oil; Coconut oil acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin. The benefit of coconut oil is comparable to that of mineral oil.  But, unlike mineral oil, there is no chance of having any adverse side effects on the skin with coconut oil. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which inevitable happens with age. Coconut oil also helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, and other skin infections. It can also help in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases due to its antioxidant properties.
